Reversed Out (White)
When printing in only one color and not in black, the logo must be reversed out to white but please do not attempt to do this yourself. When the mark is reversed (white logo against a dark background), the artwork must be used to achieve a correct reproduction. Merely inverting the colors of the regular black and white artwork results in an incorrect version of the logo. This custom graphic may be requested at http://logo.sfsu.edu/resources/request.
correct reversed out
The correct reverse artwork produces the shield with a white background with the figure and text in black. The reverse artwork also should be used for embosses or foil stamping of the logo.
An incorrect reverse is easy to spot—the background of the shield is black and the figure and text within the seal are white.
