The official seal, not to be confused with the signature logotype graphic element (see The Shield section in Official Graphic Elements), includes the University's formal name and motto, Experientia Docet (Experience Teaches). It is intended primarily for use on formal and legal publications of the University, such as diplomas, certificates/medals or collateral for formal events. The seal may not be used as a department logotype or design element. It is the official seal of the University and all efforts should be made to ensure that it does not appear on publicity fliers, newsletters, wearables or any other uses outside of the Office of the President. All inquiries about the use of the seal are to be made directly to Strategic Marketing and Communications.
